The new Google+ Android app looks great!

Reshared post from +Ben Eidelson

I'm really excited to announce that the new version of Google+ for Android is available today! We worked closely with the Android team as they developed Android 4.0 (aka Ice Cream Sandwich, http://goo.gl/UpUom), so you'll see the same attention to beauty and simplicity in our new design.

Anyone running Froyo and higher can use the new Google+ app, so feel free to visit Android Market, and download this Halloween treat:

In the meantime, you can check out our new look by clicking into the photo album below. Let us know what you think about the new app!

Here's the new Home Screen! Notice notifications are now in the top right.

I really like the way the notifications look now.

The whole app looks so much nicer, though getting used to the Honeycomb/Ice Cream Sandwich-style navigation is still a bit awkward as a long-time Android user

Yeah, it took me awhile to get used to it on the tablet.

I still get lost in the new Market app on my G2, I guess as more apps move towards Action Bars it will be easier to drop the menu button habit. Also, I can't believe you still can't +1 a comment in the Android app!

Looks like the widget is gone. Although, I never use widgets.

I’m gutted that the in app video player has disappeared… Some integration with youtube (which is the same player as was used before I think) is an absolute must. I’m always watching videos through Google+ and now it just takes me to a browser which doesn’t let me watch the video… :( sad face.
