9V Battery
A little experiment with focus stacking. I used my 16mm macro extension tube and set focus bracketing on my camera to take 8 photos with different focus. Then I merged them together in HeliconFocus to get the entire battery in focus.
I tried using Photoshop to merge them first, but I think it needs more images with smaller differences in focus. HeliconFocus had much better results with this set of images.

Galaxy II by Epoch (1981) VFD
I removed the plastic shell and magnification lens to get up close to the VFD with my camera, but I left the colored film that’s used to tint parts of the display. It makes an interesting honeycomb pattern in the macro lens!
Trying to sync up the exposure time with the flickery animations was quite a challenge.

M5Stack Atom Lite
I recently bought a couple of #M5Stack Atom Lites to use as bluetooth proxies for #HomeAssistant around my apartment. Much easier than trying to work around the issues with USB device forwarding on my Linux VM.
