Ah! Finally found out how to fix the poor wifi streaming performance when the screen turns off on certain HTC devices (Nexus One, HTC Vision / G2). Thanks to +Jan Berkel for pointing out the new "WIFI_MODE_FULL_HIGH_PERF" WiFi Lock type!
