Misc site updates

I’ve changed the way my LiveJournal feed get syndicated out to my websites. Instead of using LJ’s built-in RSS feeds, I’m now using an RSS S2 style. The most noticable difference is that now the DCSquares website actually displays all the news entries again 🙂

As for DCSquares, a new version is going to be released along with GOAT Games Volume 1 for the Sega Dreamcast. The PC/Mac version should follow several weeks later. There’s no hard release date for GOAT Games, but it should be out in a few months.

Dashboard Widget

Tired of visiting the website to view the high score list? Well, now you don’t have to! Mac OS 10.4 users can now check the high scores right from their Dashboard!

DCSquares 2.0.1

DCSquares 2.0.1 is out! This minor update fixes a few bugs with the Dreamcast build, as well as the problem causing score codes to occasionally not be generated. Grab it from the download page!

East Coast Gaming Expo

DCSquares and DCBlap will be on display at the East Coast Gaming Expo. There will also be a specal multiplayer demo of DCSquares running on the Dreamcast there. Anyone in the NJ/NY/PA area, feel free to stop by.

There will be CD-Rs available with DCSquares 2.0.1 for Windows, Mac, Linux, and Dreamcast in jewel cases, complete with instruction booklets. There will only be 15 – 20 available, so be sure to get there early! Be the first on your block to own an official DCSquares disc! 🙂

DCSquares 2.0 Release

After nearly 6 months, I’m proud to announce the release of DCSquares 2.0 for Mac OS X and Windows! This version features a brand new default theme, a new high score system, and much improved gameplay.

So head on over to the official DCSquares site to grab the latest version!

IMPORTANT the server that normally hosts DCSquares is currently down. This site is currently running off a backup server. We apologize for the slow speeds, and are working to restore access to the other server.

The latest version of DCSquares is out for the Sega Dreamcast, Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X, and linux! Grab it from the official website!

This new version features a higher quality font, better integration with Mac OS and Windows, and tons of bug fixes! Check out the ChangeLog on the downloads page for a complete list of changes.
